The Aeronautical Engineering degree prepares you for a career in aerospace by providing you with knowledge in cutting edge technology on how to apply fundamental principles of science & engineering to address issues and challenges in the field of Aeronautical Engineering ; understand the concepts in designing and evaluating aircraft flight, construction and systems.
An Aerospace/Aeronautical engineer researches, designs, develops, maintains and tests the performance of:
- Civil and Military aircraft
- Weapons systems
- Space vehicles
- Missiles
- Satellites

You will take a wide-ranging curriculum which includes courses in aeronautical engineering, mathematics, electronics, materials, statics, fluid mechanics, dynamics, thermodynamics, composite materials, aeroelasticity, high-speed aerodynamics, fluid dynamics, flight dynamics and control theory and engineering skills, supported by individual and group project work and laboratory work.
You’ll take part in practical laboratories, including running a jet engine test, and a flight-testing course in a Jet stream aircraft during year 5 of the MEng.
Once you learn about the design of an aircraft, You will begin to analyse and understand aircraft behaviour, aircraft performance and propulsion systems, and you will begin to perform detailed analysis of aircraft structural components.
You’ll be concerned with improving flight safety, fuel efficiency, speed and weight, as well as reducing system costs and using advancing technologies to meet customer needs. Increasingly, the role addresses the environmental impact of air travel.
There is a computerized Low Speed Wind Tunnel fitted with a three-component force balance, a feature not available in any other faculty in Bangalore.
Students are encouraged to do internship and project work in R&D laboratories, industries and premier educational institutions like NAL, ADE, HAL, Bosch, IISc and IITs.
The faculty comprises of a judicial mix of highly qualified and experienced professors, and motivated, young and dynamic Assistant Professors. Four of the Assistant Professors are pursuing Ph.Ds. The professors, with doctoral degrees, were formerly working in National Aerospace Laboratories (CSIR-NAL), Gas Turbine Research Establishment (DRDO-GTRE), and Aircraft Systems Testing Establishment of Indian Air Force (IAF-ASTE), Bengaluru.

Comparative Annual Expenditure of Studying Abroad
University Education in Indian Government Commonwealth Universities is the most cost effective and internationally recognized higher educational pathway for Sri Lankans if not selected to a Government University in Sri Lanka.
The burning question is ….. Are you ready? Similar initiatives are cropping up all over the globe. Our personal behaviors must change, and education is the way forward.
Educating the future generation increase achievement in applying innovative technology and master skills for life work and citizenship in the 21st Century.
We are involved in Educating Sri Lankan and Maldivian Advanced Level qualified students, in Indian Universities : This programme “STUDY OVERSEAS” is run by the esteem Sri Lankan institution AMASA INSTITUTE OF PROFESSIONAL STUDIES, in Association with GLOBAL ENVIRONMENTAL YOUTH EDUCATION FOUNDATION’’ since 1991.
We do highly recommend you to study in an India Government University and increase the standard and quality of life as an internationally qualified university graduate and become a valuable asset to the country.
